Turnkey Project for Deployment of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023’s HI-STORM Systems at Mexico’s Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Station Nears Completion

We are pleased to report that °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023’s turnkey project for installation and commissioning of an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), at Mexico’s national utility, Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant, is moving rapidly toward completion. Commencing with the contract signing in December of 2014, the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 and CFE project teams have completed all design and engineering, fabrication of major equipment and construction of the storage pad, as well as the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023’s patented subterranean Canister Transfer Facility (CTF), in just sixteen (16) months. The project is in the final stages of implementing the security systems to guard the ISFSI facility. (more…)

HI-STORM FW’S Certification to be Effective on June 13

The HI-STORM FW (Flood & Wind) MPC Storage System has successfully completed the NRC’s safety review and rulemaking process, including the public comment period (a unique feature of licensing in the United States) and is scheduled to be certified for general use under 10 CFR 72 Subpart L on June 13, 2011.
