Abstract: Evaluation of the safety consequences of postulated mechanical accidents in wet storage is an integral part of the safety evaluation in rerack projects. This paper provides a summary of the technical considerations and the analytical approaches utilized to perform the necessary damage assessments. A typical example is used to illustrate the results.
